Venezuela Denounces that
Colombian Troops Aare Near Its
Frontier
July

Las Tunas, (Writing
Tiempo21). - Juan Jose Mendoza,
president of the Commission of
Defense of the National Assembly
of Venezuela, specified in
Caracas that the Colombian Army
has mountain battalions near the
common frontier and according to
intelligence sources those
troops are carrying out
movements to the bordering area,
amid a scenario of war designed
by United States.
After his
declarations to the private
channel Venevisión, Mendoza
offered another interview with
the program Contragolpe (Counterblow),
in Venezolana de Televisión, and
was more specific, when
specifying that his sources
inside Colombia informed him
that the mountain battalions are
very near to the Venezuelan
frontier.
As expert in
defense, he explained that those
units were created by the
government of Alvaro Uribe like
quite effective groups of mobile
infantry, and the mobilization
toward the bordering area is
permanent, but in these conflict
moments such a presence is more
dangerous.
According to a
wire from the Latin American
News Agency, in the
Venezuelan parliamentarian's
opinion, Uribe is responsible
for the imbalance in the region,
because he presides over a
warmongering government that
widened its Army, with the
consent of installong U.S bases
and the realization of combined
exercises with Israelis troops.
The expert in
defensee explained that United
States is behind the whole
conflict on behalf of benefiting
its military industry and
finding a distraction for the
great environmental scandal that
fences the administration of
Barack Obama.
"This is also a
strategy of Uribe to cover some
dirty matters of his presidency,
like a policy of extermination
against the peasants to who he
forces to move and in some cases
he accuses them of being drug
traffickers", he stressed.
In spite of the
complex scenario, military
sources and media report
normality in the crossings of
vehicles and people in the
frontier of some 2, 200
kilometers.
Last Thursday,
the president of Venezuela, Hugo
Chavez, broke up relationships
with the government of Colombia
in rejection to accusations from
Bogota on the supposed presence
of guerilla camps in the
Venezuelan geography.
