Women Favors Saving of water in Las Tunas

Las Tunas.- The efforts of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in the eastern province of Las Tunas are not only seen in the results achieved at home and in the society, but also in the care for the environment.
The women can make a lot for the saving of water, since they carry out almost all the housework and this organization is fundamental to sensitize its members in the global situation of this resource.
This education requires time, creation of new behavior patterns, and formation of habits for which there are encounters and exchanges on experiences achieved.
The FMC doesn't leave aside this crusade and every year return to the same issues, how to eliminate leaking at home, and how to economize water to use only the indispensable one. But the main task resides on the grass root organization, the one that should work better in the neighborhoods and to guide its members.
The statistics assert that some 1, 100 million people don't have access to the drinkable water in the world while the dams of Las Tunas, 690 kilometers to the east of Havana, are full now.
The population of this region has the privilege of enjoying that resource, but it is necessary each inhabitant makes a rational use of it, as a way to help others.
