Finland-Cuba Friendship Association Visits Las Tunas

Las Tunas.- The Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP) has in the Las Tunas eastern province, like in the whole Caribbean island, an arduous work in favor of the fraternity and the respect among the different regions of the world.

During these days this work strengthens with the visit of the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association whose members will be in the territory until next November 13.

The delegation, characterized by solidarity and optimism, has the zeal of fomenting actions in favor of knowing on the historical and the cultural reality of Cuba, at the same time they combine actions guided to the collaboration in diverse sectors of the society.

This time they seek to focus their efforts mostly in the health, reason why their agenda includes a visit to the Pediatric Hospital Mártires de Las Tunas, of this city and other similar institutions, exchanges with their main directives, as well as the habitual sightseeing in the territory.

The Finland-Cuba Friendship Association is a Non-Governmental
Organization and was founded in 1963. It has maintained agreements with the island for over 30 years.

The members of this NGO have also been valuable promoters of the achievements of the Revolution and its battles, especially in support to the freedom of the Cuban Five, imprisoned in the United States for fighting terrorism.
