preparatory process for
the next elections on
April 25 is taking place
in a satisfactory way in
the eastern province of
Las Tunas, where all the
foreseen stages have
been fulfilled as it was
established in the
national chronogram.
A wire from the Cuban
News Agency quotes
declarations by Amado
Batista Cruz, president
of the provincial
Electoral Commission,
who said that the
assemblies to nominate
candidates were already
created in each one of
the 802 districts and
the process will be
developed from February
24 to March 24.
Also 1, 373 electoral
schools were selected in
the eight municipalities
of the province and in
each neighborhood the
process of verification
of the voters’ names
culminated.
The province also works
to guarantee the
communications by
different ways, which
will allow transmitting
the data with efficiency
and speed from the
electoral schools until
the electoral
commissions of the
municipalities, the
province and the nation.
