Rene González Sehwerert was born on August 13, 1956 in Chicago, USA, in the breast of a Cuban emigrated family where his father had to worked as metallurgist workman.

His family returned to Cuba in October 1961, after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, he carried out his primary studies at the school ‘’José Martí’’, in Santa María del Mar where he was granted a scholarship.

He always had the aspiration of being a pilot, however, when he had that opportunity, he postponed it to fulfill a duty that he considered that may not be adjourned. First he caused medical drop from the school of cadets "Camilo Cienfuegos" (the one named Camilitos) because he was having hepatitis, this was in his basic secondary level, and later because being militant of the Union of Young Communists, he responds to a convocation to integrate the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Pedagogical Detachment, and being already teaching classes in a classroom in the High School in the Field (ESBEC) named "República Socialista de Rumania", he receives the citation to enroll.

He passed the General Military Service in a voluntary way to tenor with his American nationality, in spite of the new postposition that that meant  his aspirations of becoming pilot.

However, short time later, he was already happy with his new specialty in the Military Service. His love for his tank in which he acted in the military unit took him to choose the Day of the Tanker, April 17, to marry Olga Salanueva Arango, his current wife and his two daughters' mother: Irmita and Ivett.

When concluding this period of his life, he finishes with excellent qualifications and with the yearned ticket in his hand to register in an aviation school, but when he knew that his unit had the mission of going to the Popular Republic of Angola to combat for the independence of that country, he himself postponed his supreme dream of his life.

He completed internationalist mission in Angola and when he returned it was that he finally became a pilot at the School of Aviation "Carlos Ulloa", working as flight instructor at the Military Patriotic Society of Education. He was a squadron chief in the base of San Nicolás de Bari and chief of the section of aeronautical sports.

In 1990 he becomes member of the Party. At the end of that year he leaves toward United States.

His stories of the faked trial made in Miami, where he was wrongly sanctioned together with other four countrymen, revealed the exceptional qualities that he possesses as writer and journalist.

His mom is named Irma Sehwerert Mileham and his father Cándido René González.
