Manati, (Las Tunas). - To be honest, I don't like to speak much about myself.

I'm shy. But as you ask me..., what do you want to know? My name is Richard Armstrong Rivero, I am 10 years old and I am a fifth grader. School? Center Victuro Acosta. Yes, right here in Manati, near my house.

I already know your following question. Yes, I love the art. My mom says that since I was in preschool I used to dramatize short stories. Of couese, I didn't still know how to read, but she read them to me and I didn't forget them. Almost all the short stories were by Herminio Almendros. I began this way.

When I was in fourth grade I had reasons to be much more motivated. In my school all the classrooms had to dramatize plays. Abdala, by Jose Marti, was assigned to mine. The day of the setting members of the House for Culture were there and I was performing in that moment. It seems they liked it, because they selected me for future.

A little time later they asked me to participate in the Festival for Children, in the municipal cinema. It was held in February this year. I was the presenter and I dramatized a monologue. I was the most outstanding in theater. The monologue is in the book for fourth graders. I began there as amateur.

Recently, when the municipal radio station was put on air, the student organization created a group of children to make programs to this population. A she classmate and I have recorded several programs. The audience says that it is interesting, because the topics are related with the children, such as vacations, care of nature, formal education, patriotic symbols, art of reading...Nervous? No, never.

I have had several interviews in the radio station and one feels more and more relax. Recently there was a pothole in a program and I began to improvise until I covered it. Nobody realized!.

Theater is what I like the most. I like to performe in front of the people. The cinema? I like it alot. I know the names of the movies and of the actors and actresses. Although I also like reading. Perhaps, one day I decide to write. Nobody knows. But firstly I need to study a lot.

I don't memorize my recognitions,... why don't you ask to my mom? She has all that in a paper. Please, don't make me to tell you. Mommy, let me see the paper. Look, here they are. Note them down: Outstanding in the 14th Provincial Forum of Science and Technique, Guest to the Municipal Assembly of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), Participant in the Provincial Exhibition of Interest Clubs of the Red Cross, Award in the municipal event ECOJOVEN, Guest to the Provincial Cucalambeana Folkloric Party, Head of Group, Certificate El Beso de la Patria, Member of the Headquarters Fuerzas de Acción Pioneril... they seem to be enough. Thanks you for comomg to see me.
