Will Pay Homage
to Che Guevara
in Las Tunas

Las Tunas.- The
plastic artists
of the eastern
province of Las
Tunas and the
students of
fourth year of

Commander
Ernesto Che
Guevara.

the provincial
Academy of
Plastic Arts
could
participate in
the third
exhibition hall
in homage to
Ernesto Che
Guevara, with
different
techniques and
aid material.
In this occasion
they could
create the image
of Che in
diverse formats,
with different
personal
opinions on this
legendary
guerrilla
fighter.
Paintings,
drawings and
sculptures will
compete in this
third exhibition
hall to be held
since next
October 15,
whose jury will
be integrated by
famed local and
national
artists.
During this
month all Cuba
pays homage to
the Commander
Ernesto Che
Guevara who fell
in battle on
October 8, 1967,
in Bolivia.
Che, who united
to the Rebel
Army of Cuba,
headed by Fidel
Castro,
organized and
directed the
National
Institute of the
Agrarian
Reformation. He
was also
President of the
National Bank of
Cuba and
minister of
Economy in 1960
and of Industry
in 1961. |
