Sanlope
Publing House Will Represent Las
Tunas in Havana Book Fair

Las Tunas,
(Main Writing Tiempo21). - Several titles of the Sanlope
Publishing House, of the eastern province of Las Tunas will
be on sale, during the eighteenth International Fair Book of
Havana that begins next February 12.
Among the
texts are Vicente Gariía y la inteligencia militar mambisa
(Vicente Garcia and the Military Intelligence in the
Pro-independence Army), by the historian Victor Marrero,
Barbarito Diez, el Rey del danzón (Barbarito Diez, the King
of the Danzon), Bitacora de la Tristeza (Binnacle of the
Sadness), by Alexander Besu, rewarded in the Ibero-American
Competition of Ten-line Stanza 2007, and a compilation of
texts by personalities of the culture.
The book of
poems Caminos deshabitados (Uninhabited Roads), by Antonio
Gutierrez Rodriguez, and Los hijos del Kamikaze (The
Children of the Kamikaze), by Carlos Esquivel will be
presented by Letras Cubanas Publishing House, while Union
Publishing House will exhibit Matando a los pieles rojas
(Killing to Red Skins), by the previous author.
A wire from
the
Cuban News Agency points
out that these titles will unite to others until reaching
the figure of 24 for the provincial event, in March.
The
International Book Fair is the cultural contest of the most
population affluence in the country, and an agglutinative
event of the effort of writers, institutions, printings and
publishing houses.
This year it
is dedicated to the Cuban intellectuals Fina Garcia Marruz
and Jorge Ibarra, and to the 50 years of Casa de las
Americas, while the Republic of Chile is the Guest of Honor,
as nation.
