Las Tunas Strengthens Cultural Work in Communities

Las Tunas. – Members of the
Hermanos Saiz Association strengthen cultural projects in
communities of Las Tunas province, as part of the aesthetic
formation of the artistic and literary production.
Rodney Gonzalez, president
in the region, told Tiempo21 that during the 2009 the
organization will maintain strong bond with the most damaged
communities by the natural disasters, with the purpose of
showing a genuinely revolutionary culture.
Besides narrowing the
relationships with the cultural institutions and the
teaching centers, mainly with the university students who
are the future specialized public in national culture.
At present the Hermanos
Saiz is promoting students of the academy of Plastic Arts,
as part of its main projects to continue being an
organization of young artists and intellectuals.
This Association, created
in 1980 after the union of the movement of the New Latin
American Song and the brigades Raul Gomez Garcia and
Hermanos Saiz, counts on young musicians, writers, plastic
and scenic artists, and creators of audiovisual programs,
younger than 35 years old, under the support of the Young
Communist League of Cuba (UJC) to stimulate the literary and
artistic creation, and to propitiate the cultural and social
participation of the new generations.
