Las Tunas.- More than a dozen students were recognized for excelling in the study, sports, defense and activities of the Federation of Middle School Students in the province of Las Tunas.
During the central event for the celebration of International Student Day, at the Francisco Muñoz Rubalcaba Pre-University Institute of this city, Alex Daniel Pacheco, president of the organization in the territory, stressed that today the more than 14,500 members ratify the commitment of be continuators of the revolutionary process.
It also meant that today they are projected to involve young people and their family in their work with the purpose of deepening civic values and citizen education for adolescents.
As part of the day, the Young Communist Youth Card was given to new members and they shared experiences of the Female Voluntary Military Service with young people who opt for this preparation for the defense of the Homeland.
Sports games, dialogues about history, cultural activities and knowledge meetings are included among the festivities that will run until Sunday, November 17 in the province under the slogan «FEEM with you».
On the occasion of the event, representatives of 42 educational centers will leave open the Provincial Council of the organization, in which the operation from the brigades will be discussed as an essential space to reflect and transform the problems that affect students.
