Las Tunas .- The project
Aulas Hermanas 2010
(Twin Rooms) is an
initiative sponsored by
the website of the Cuban
education in
collaboration with the
central province of
Cienfuegos and offers to
the Academic Advisors in
Las Tunas the
possibility to
participate with their
results on a blog whose
final issue is the
climate change.
In this
is collaborative online
project two classrooms
led by their Academic
Advisors will develop a
research and create a
weblog on climate change
and environment.
Each
Advisor must register
his group of students,
which will be twinned
with another classroom
in a different
institution of the
country to work as a
team in the progression
of the issue.
The aim
is to involve children
aged between 12 and 17
years old to foster
their creativity,
knowledge and
responsibility for
sustainable development
and ecological balance,
and the use of new
technologies and their
usage.
Until
July first the Academic
Advisors, who decide to
participate and register
a classroom, will find
an open call at the
websites CubaEduca and
Edusur, while the
publication of the
winners will take place
on December 15 this
year.
The School holidays
coming up in July and
August will be for
organization and
planning of projects, so
that in September the
teams will show their
project of research,
which will be discussed
on 15 November with the
selection of best
researches.
The jury
will evalute the
creativity and the
quality of ideas, the
process of information
management, the use of
Web tools for creating
the blog, and analysis,
proposals for the
changes and the
conclusions of the main
issue, which may be
linked to the impact on
the cycles or seasons of
agricultural production,
the environmental
pollution and the
efforts of the school
and the community to
curb its destructive
effects and to eradicate
its causes .
