Las
Tunas.- The famous Cuban
troubadour Wiliam
Vivanco to perform today
in Tunas Theater of this
city, as part of his
national tour he began
in Guantanamo city last
February 17 to promote
his last record El mundo
está cambia’o (The World
Is Changed).
Song like La ruta del
Yacare, Palo Haitiano,
Samba de los Cotuntos
and El mundo esta
cambiao, are included in
this musical proposal,
produced in France under
European record company
NAIVE.
Based on a humorous
perspective Wiliam
Vivanco fuses in his
songs Cuban and
international rhythms
with the ballad, such as
guajira, joropo, milonga,
conga, rumba, guaracha
and bossa nova.
This famous troubadour
is known in Cuba for his
previous records Lo
tengo to pensao,
launched in 2002 by
Bismusic, La isla
milagrosa, by EGREM in
2006, and for his vocal
capacity as member of
Coro Madrigalista, one
of the oldest coral
groups in Santiago de
Cuba eastern province.
Wiliam Vivanco was born
in 1975 and his work is
characterized by the
influence of the Cuban
traditional music and
the poetry, as driving
forces to transmit his
ideas, that according
the critic Joel del Rio
he deserves the epithet
of the most solid
promise in the Cuban
music.
